In 1859, northeast of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Our Lady of Good Help appeared to a young Belgian woman named Adele Brise. In response to Mary’s call to teach the faith to children, Adele began teaching at homes across the largely unsettled region. A chapel and school were soon built.
