One of the four Gospel writers, Luke is known for his impressive writing skills which probably stemmed from his education. Luke was a physician by trade and a friend of St. Paul. He also wrote the Acts of the Apostles. It appears that Luke set out to capture the history of Jesus with objectivity through personal interviews with those who met Jesus.
